SNAP nightmare is over, the trauma from it remains with helpers & the families affected. Please don't stop donating $, food & time to your local pantries, hunger is still at an all time high. We received this today when we picked up the pantry order. I wish I could share it with all of the helpers.

Polis' net worth is $300 million+ & he's asking us to drop off food to a mansion owned by the state. He may be unaware that his newsletter goes out to everyone, even SNAP recipients on his mailing list. He is unable to read a room because he's not in the room with us. He is completely out of touch.

Last week during the county meeting with food pantries, we had 1 person breakdown. This week we had 3. Our helpers are really hurting out here while they try to feed people. We're doing our very best, I promise. Some of us pick up food in our own vehicles for our pantries, like we do every Fri.

The food bank consistently gives our food pantry rotten food. I've talked with them about it but it doesn't matter. The Feeding America food banks hold a monopoly over reclaimed food. This was a free item but most food we have to purchase from the food bank for our pantry.

Spending 4 hours this morning reviewing the planning commission meeting from earlier this month. 3 hours of comments! Unfortunately for the speakers, the commission voted unanimously to approve plans for a large apt building next to a park. The plans follow existing laws, so they can't stop it.
