So it does kind of track that Prime would have her being buddy buddy with NPCs, but Dread would have her VERY distant from all that. It’s consistent. Problem is just that they’ve never written the Federation stuff as well.

Part of this is the very different story context that Prime and the 2D games exist in. Prime is about her early days as an unquestioning hired gun in the Galactic Federation, and the 2D games are kind of her reckoning with the fact that they absolutely fucked her over.

I’ve got so many thoughts on why paling around with the Galactic Federation does at least kind of make sense narratively considering that the Prime series happens pre-Metroid 2 but I will spare y’all. Come December, though, a biblical flood of blogs.
