I also am pretty sure riles ate the fake agitprop spread pre-election - a deliberate bit of propaganda mixed with Having A Cause meant to affect the elections.

I tend to gift fancy spice blends, or food kits that will last a bit, when recipients have no idea what they may want - or are prone to purchasing what they want as they want it. Of course, the blends/food are based on meals we have shared, things I know they will like and use.

One has great deals on fresh veggies & meat, pastas, + the bakery my dad needs to keep his weight up.
One has good deals on canned and boxed foods, cheap meats.
One has the rest of what my dad will eat.
Chinese grocer 2-3x a yr for bulk rice.
