The government thinks its communications problems can be fixed by severely limiting the opportunities to set out their message. Just a few more questions from chosen influencers at press conferences and it will be fine.

Did anyone seriously think Putin wouldn’t threaten retaliation? After all, he’s invaded Ukraine. Either the EU stands up to him, or the whole European project is over. I thought the similarity between what he said and what Trump has said about Europe was pretty chilling.

Another own goal by Labour ☹️ There should be room in a broad church for a social democrat with a conscience. Labour - not so much broad church as narrow sect these days.
