Got to the bottom of the stm32 problem. Turned out the wrong variant of the same chip was installed a BOM error. Same model number with Q on the end. The main different the Q has an internal vreg. And swaps one of the GND pins to VDD... Shorted itself to ground there :(

Oh joy full on work panic attack now, We im going down to the office on sunday (in devon) and I just recelved the new major project pcb, and instantly its broken. The STM32 is shorting direct to ground. I must have introduced a error in the design on this, what was meant to be the final

Sitting here waiting for an Amazon delivery so I can fix my fucking 3d printer so I can print an 8mm shim so I can finish assembling my CNCs cutting head. So I can cut some more aluminium parts to go on said CNCmachine replacing temp 3d printed parts. So I can later cut new Alu parts to fix 1/2
