#Scriptsky I always find it flattering and weird when I get praised for the most trivial detail because someone thinks it meant more than it did symbolically. My character just likes to scroll through videos of cats. 😅

When I get enough notes from readers saying it is great, that is when I know I might be ready to submit it to the Black List or a contest. I am not at that stage yet. And just something to keep in mind, you are never really done with your best script. /1

Just want to expand on this. I think I need to be careful about making the distinction between the “it’s a feature, not a bug” kind of contradictions and the contradictions that impact the readability of the script. Humans are messy, but in a story, that chaos should be outlined. #scriptsky
It doesn’t necessarily mean I won’t finish the outline. That’s part of the outlining process. But I also like getting a sense of how characters can contradict themselves or be misguided on pages that don’t have a 100% guide.
