My TBR pile by my bed is probably twelve books deep. I start things and then change to another book. Then go back to books I’ve not finished. Or don’t go finish some books. Often it’s not because of won’t like them but my attention goes elsewhere.

But I’m really excited to see BoyzIIMen, Joe, Toni Brixton and Dru Hill with my school friend.

I write for kids so I find it easy to write in first for some books and I write in third for my younger fantasy series. I’ve never written in second and think it would be quite hard to keep going with that POV.

One by Sarah Crossan is amazing! The Cats We Meet Along the Way by Nadia Mikail which won’t the Waterstones prize is brilliant.

For those wanting a seasonal read that's funny and brilliant then I'd recommend Some like it cold by the ever fabulous @ellemcnicoll.bsky.social The hallmark-ish style YA with an autistic main character at the heart, it's just the thing for curling up with a mug of hot chocolate! #KidsBooksFriday

When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill which is published by Hotkey but it’s very much I feel a book adults would enjoy. I’m finishing it now and it’s a bit like Lessons in Chemistry

Thanks this is so useful. I don't think Querytracker was a thing when I was submitting. This is so useful! Thanks for sharing!
