They just don't want to pay for justice, the justice system is too expensive for them. Meaness and greed before people is becoming the new norm in all aspects of life 😟

Maybe if we lived in a society that paid a proper wage and wasn't ruled over buy a bigoted hateful media people's mental health would be better.

Maybe if Labour gave hope for the future, encouraged cheer and community instead of misery and division, vastly improved access to GPs, dentists, made heating affordable, funded adult education, took action on the far-right threat, restored nature etc etc, everyone's mental health would improve eh.

And maybe if employers paid a genuine living wage, benefits actually covered people's needs, housing was affordable and the NHS was properly funded and staffed ... there'd be a lot fewer people with mental health problems?

I met an Amazon delivery man in tears on the road. He couldn't keep up with the computer and was scared of losing his job. So many people working like this - what an insane system. I don't normally swear but ... fuck rampant capitalism.

Witnessing a genocide that is being ignored. I find that very disturbing. Closer to home life in the UK is deteriorating for many people, I find this very depressing too.

Gosh, I wonder what could have happened since 2019 to cause young people to have mental health problems?! These articles never mention the word 'covid' or 'pandemic' or 'trauma'

I don't think "mental health conditions are being over-diagnosed" but that "real suffering is being over-medicalised". These are very different things. The former tries to justify cutting support, but the latter does not: it acknowledges real suffering but asks for different (psychosocial) provision
