Atlanta's Housing Justice League is calling on folks to "STOP THE TADS" (TADs=TIFs for folks not in Georgia) and this is about Mayor Dickens' proposal to extend 25+ year-old TIFs (many parts of which are in gentrifying nabes) until 2055.

Home/urban gardeners would love any amount of banana peels, coffee grounds, eggshells, spent grain from beer-brewing etc for compost

But I don't know the system for it -- rats could enter at any step if the restaurant and the gardeners don't keep it clean🤔

Georgians donated $13.6 million to police foundations in lieu of taxes in 2024

The state is willing to give up $75 million in taxes for this annually but is not getting near that much interest
