A troop of red Colobus monkeys were in a tree near the pool this morning, adults & v cute babies. A small crowd had gathered so, as is traditional in safari parks in the UK and in the wild in Africa, two of them started shagging directly over our heads. Nothing was hidden! (Photo is not monkey-porn)

I bought this without having even heard them. I'd just discovered punk and the NME review basically told me to go and get it. I did and it became my soundtrack for 77 and beyond. A massive, massive influence.

I spotted this leucistic crow on the pier at New Quay today. I've not seen it before, so I'm guessing it's new to the area.

My faith in people just took a little positive boost (although not in their driving...). I returned to my car in Tesco car park and someone had left a note with contact details, apologising for bumping into it. Passenger door and front wing dented.

Do you remember the dinner party Reggie was supposed to cancel but went ahead without any food,? He was there, little chap with a big white beard. Came on to Davina Letts-Wilkinson. Their romance is brilliant in the book.
