Wrote a piece for @slate.com explaining that states have a long history of prosecuting federal officers when they allegedly use excessive force. Federal officers are only immune from such prosecutions when they act reasonably in carrying out lawful duties.

Does it help people in red states felel less abandoned? I think so.
Is it a free outside hang on a sunny day that pisses some truly terrible people off? Yep!

It's always been the case that "buying" an ebook from amazon was only actually a loan they could rescind at any point, but lately Amazon have gone harder on this, and it is 100% so that they can wipe banned books from your libraries without your consent.

if your library doesn't carry a book you'd like to read, make a recommendation (there's often a form for this on your library's website)! not only will you hopefully get to read said book, others will also be able to check it out too!
