Male. 26. NSFW. All I do is retweet stuff and ramble about games I finish sometimes. Umineko, Utawarerumono, Baldr Sky, LoGH = peak fiction. Metal Gear Solid 2 is masterful.
My favorite member of the SSS is Tio but I also gotta give a shoutout to Randy. In CS3 I didnt trust the guy at all and thought he was being setup to be a villain but these games show that was a foolish thought.

Its such a shame too. For the first 3-ish chapters I was starting to think this might be the best Trails game, maybe 2nd best. Upscaling still looks beyond godawful. I feel like Elie had shockingly little to do in this. Like some really dire stuff happens to her and its glossed over.

Its peak

So my backlog alone would be enough to quench my thirst for the hobby. I also suspect that PS2 games tend to spawn into existence the moment I see some random person mention it on my TL so theres more than enough of them for me already. Anyways Zero is great despite this massive blemish.

I actually ended up doing a lot more side quests in Zero because I just wanted to know more about the city, its quite a well-realized place. Biggest problem with the game by far is the fucking AI upscaled textures. Holy shit its dire and I didnt know about this going into it.

Its so good that I got a little emotional.

The sprites are a lot more fluid compared to the 3D models of CS.I was surprised to see how cool some of the cutscene fights are. I guess I still got 1 more of both series(and both crossbell games) to go but its odd to me that Joshua and Estelle dont show up in CS3. I wonder how that will be handled

Which is strange because I just finished the game. Its kind of odd that Oroboros is an organization that combines complete goofballs and utter psychopaths. Its clearly not the focus of the franchise. I think Trails is much more so about the character arcs rather than the overarching plot.

There is no snow in Breckenridge because everything sucks but at least it's very walkable here.

Sometime soon will be my 5th? attempt to play Trails in the Sky 1. I'm usually quite patient but I've had a lot of trouble getting into that one. Tbh I don't know how people could get through any of these other games without seeing Towa with her little hat. I shall try to suffer through it.
November 21, 2025 at 12:40 AM
Its pretty clear Alisa is destined to be Reans love interest but I will hold to the truth that Towa is the best. I guess I need to play the other games before I get to IV. For some reason I was always under the impression each arc was self-contained and during different time periods.

Why should I bother to finish the game when I have the only achievement that matters?
November 20, 2025 at 4:56 AM
Shockingly not that hard to cycle in

If this game were made now it would be soulless and corporate and full of inauthenticity. No corporation would allow this level of freedom for a concept like this and the references would come off flat. I think Free Radical had heart when making this and I had such a fun time playing it.

Somehow every level has its own set of weapons. I mean like it just drops 7-8 different guns on you EVERY level. What the fuck? Its staggering and they all handle and feel quite fun to use. I suppose they have similar uses but each set tends to perfectly encapsulate the time periods.

The game is exceptionally horny. Its clearly to emulate ~80's action films but every female character is just like these screenshots. Most of the game's jokes land well, although it is a bit exhausting trying to get through so many hours of pure comedy.
October 20, 2025 at 2:08 AM
If I were to describe this game in a single sentence: What if Riddick traveled to every video game you've ever played and every film you ever watched. I think the passion was there to handle that concept but it still wears a little thin around the time the Cylons and Droidekas show up.
October 20, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Whats cool is that they even tailored the levels to try and emulate the series they were referencing. The Resident Evil inspired section tries to emulate Spencer Mansion while also giving you an assortment of weapons you would only find in an RE game. This extends to just about every level.

Finished Timesplitters Future Perfect. Another case where a studio makes an incredible game and then they are closed down. Its aged in some aspects but its impossible to deny just how much love for other media, especially games, went into this. Its bursting with references to so so many games.
October 20, 2025 at 2:00 AM
Spencer Mansion??? Oh I get it each level is a tribute to video games set in different periods of history thats pretty cool.

What is happening

Probably the strangest FPS I've ever played. Why can I drift with the remote control cat?

You know its over when the author has stopped bothering to come up with excuses for Iruma to crossdress.

Did another route of Silent Hill F. I love how the achievements are written and add a little bit of sauce, its rare for a game to do that. Its so good man I cant believe it. I still have my issues with the combat but its so clear to me that not only did they understand SH but they created something-

Finished Silent Hill F(first ending). Where has this Ryukishi been for the past ~15 years??? I have no idea but hes back. To be fair I havent read Ciconia so perhaps thats also good. The story carries the experience as with all Silent Hill games and I'm really eager to do another run.
