Working in renewables energy, dreaming about TT bikes.
I think a lot of folks want one. Basically this size, 2 door cab chassis. Perfect for farmers and tradies. Personally I don’t see the need for a bull bar.

Human in a velomobile, apparently they cruise at over 50kph on the flat.

South Australia look even better that day. They basically turned off all the solar farms and let the rooftops and wind farms run the show

Does this help

True, I’m surprised by how long it took California to get there. For reference Australia is 4.5 years

New #NEM #renewables record! Australia’s main grid hit 77.5% renewables energy for 5 mins. It stayed around 75% for a few hours. There was plenty of curtailed #solar and #wind on standby. The bulk came from rooftop solar. #Energy #electricity

Today Australia’s National Electricity Market had enough curtailed #wind and #solar to run the grid completely fossil free.

Hot take: this position is less stable and and safe compared to a getting onto the top tube. Bring back the super tuck

Year that’s fair. Macca’s has fully embraced the nickname.

Your ac and hpws will /should the bulk of their work in the daytime, when solar is active.
Notice the difference in usage between daytime demand and night demand. This is mid winter so the difference will on,y grow into summer. The renewables are curtailed because the inflexible coal can turn off.

They are extremely flexible. Being purely digital they can ramp up and down in milliseconds. Below is a chart of the last 24 hours of 🇦🇺 utility scale solar farms. I’ve circled the flat line output of some farms. They are artificially constrained ready to ramp up in a moment’s notice.
August 13, 2025 at 3:35 AM
I think this is it then. This is the average of the last 28 days shown as 24 hours

It’s the shortest day of the year in Australia and #solar is beating out coal BEFORE MIDDAY! Onwards and upwards.

Yes Pete Hegseth is planning to blow his nose on the US flag.

New South Wales energy source prices 2019 vs 2025
#Coal nearly doubled⬆️
#Gas doubled ⬆️
#Wind up slight light
Rooftop #solar down⬇️
Utility solar ⬇️

Stop blaming #renewableenergy for price rises.

You’re right. The difference between the jury and the public vote a wide margin.

It’s wasn’t an accident and she was also a professional cyclist. This is a terrible headline.

@sydneyev.bsky.social I was in the car peak near the new Tesla chargers today and grabbed you a few pics. The substation thing on the edge looks to be getting an upgrade before it goes live.
Interesting comparing the input to the output. All 4 won’t be able to hit max speed together.

Spotted in Brisbane last week.

Yay for smaller ev utes/trucks. Utes, the like Holden picture, built Australia. Now everyone drives massive wankpanza pickups
April 11, 2025 at 7:48 PM
That’s the whole NEM. On proposed site is South Australia, the state furthest along in the transition. This summer it’s had time of 100% rooftop solar and has gone as high as 122% wind/utility solar/ rooftop solar exporting the surplus. The only generator than can compete there are fast flexing
February 27, 2025 at 11:12 AM
For nuclear to work in many parts of Australia it will need to go from 100% at night to 0% at midday. Our coal is more flexible than nuclear and it is struggling to cope with that. Coal gets around selling at a negative dollars forces flexible wind and solar to shutdown.

For those wondering, imagine walking in these. Yes this is the worst case example for walking in but they are extremely common for road bikes.

I would love a Citroen Ami, but they are illegal in Australia. For some reason authorities are completely fine with massive pickup trucks with 5 post bull bars in the centre of cities.
