The union says the only people in the chat were union reps and employees, so yes, Rockstar's assertion is that this constituted sharing privileged info. Which does make you wonder what was shared (we don't know) and how employees were expected to organise

That is quite satisfying (although of course gaming becoming part of The Establishment comes with its own issues)

Yes! For a 10 year old Pokémon Legends Z-A or Pokémon Sword and Shield would be great starts. Legends is more action-y and Sword/Shield are a bit slower

I was about 25 and he was AT LEAST twice that

Anyway I just did a wee bit on BBC Radio 4 about GTA 6, and the presenter prefaced the interview with a courteous note about how culturally and financially important video games are in the UK, and was both enthusiastic and respectful, so some things have gotten better in he last 12 years

And with respect - I've been trying to tell you that we have a story in the works on this! Phone calls have been made! Reporting has been done! All of that takes time! If you wait literally another few hours you will see the results 😅

I don't expect people to understand the intricacies of media law etc so happy to explain - often, what looks like hesitancy, hedging, omission or cowardice from established media is in fact just acting in line with the professional standards/waiting for your lawyers to clear a story/etc etc etc

Not without putting in the reporting. As you will know if you look up UK libel law, "someone else said it" is not a defence. You need to have extreme confidence in your facts and have independently verified them. Which, again, is what we're doing. It takes time.

Unless you want to get sued out of existence, you cannot accuse companies of illegal behaviour in a UK newspaper without doing a lot of legally sound reporting (which we are, separately)

A small scream escaped my lips upon seeing this

Kinectimals was my favourite of the lot! I have heard from various people over the years the Kinect tech got somewhat downgraded before release - which was bad news for any developer who was relying on the camera tracking eg finger movements

It's the same! I've been on and off sick leave all year I'm afraid - I think my auto-replies stopped sending at some point

My memories of the Kinect mostly involve trying to review about 6 of its launch games over a single weekend. Can you truly call yourself a games critic if you haven't cried trying to play fetch with a pretend tiger at 3am with a deadline looming
