The whole MAHA movement is just a struggle for power between the supplement/"wellness" industry and the insurance/pharmaceutical industry. Both are evil but at least big pharma nominally requires some kind of legit-sounding scientific evidence to sell a product...

This means the root of the problem, as always, is capitalism. If we want effective medicine we have to end capitalism and create a socialist society.

I think framing it as like, they're just evil and hate women, etc., while true, doesn't get to the root of the issue. The reason they're shit talking effective medicine is to discredit big pharma to open up more space for the "wellness" industry to grow. Its a struggle for market share.

it doesnt matter. they dont care. they simply do not care. they think not having the right to say whatever you want is more important than not starving to death in the streets. i dont think the PRC's censorship is great and it could be handled better but cracking down on disinformation?? BASED.

I agree 100%. All of this talk about dopamine cleanse, whatever, absolutely reeks of empty-headed unscientific nonsense. Dopamine is real and impacts behavior, but the way ppl talk about it is so self-help coded and clearly has no research backing at all. Wish I had a good article debunking it.

Not clowning on the article, it just highlights the absurdity of 3 cueing as a concept. They literally were saying that the ability to actually READ the words was not important at all.

They realize that in order to have a functioning society, they have to make an effort to minimize poverty and maximize productivity. They realize that if they help other countries get to a stable and productive state, it will be a mutual good.
