Oh they haven’t put out an official statement post yesterday. They’ve had a couple of preemptive statements up for sometime against the ban and Ricardo has been interviewed a couple of times and condemned it. Dropping something like this at 5pm in the middle of parliament’s sitting week is shitty

The Greens condemned it as importing culture wars out of the gate?

Bite off a rapists ear so he can never be king and drag your loved ones into the sea so they can be turned into fish type mofos

Now while our family has no kids in it I’ve been pushing for us in my family to deescalate Christmas to a chill potluck on or around the day. We have way too much family trauma for a fuss.

Please if you can find out what organisations support trans youth and whaanau in your community and consider making a donation or supporting them in some other way.

I think puberty blockers help to save lives, I think puberty is an agony for some trans people that is incomprehensible to people who haven’t experienced it but I think they’re part of a bigger picture and in their absence that bigger picture is only more important.

I had to quit drinking not long after I turned 19 because I was drinking gin in the morning to deal with the trauma of existing in a body in public. Unfortunately a series of life derailing menty-bs followed. Anyway, somehow I lived and I’m scared with dysmorphia and stuff but I’m 31 and I’m okay.

Honesty, a great song though – an all time favourite of mine. I’ve only combined those three drinks once in my life though and I almost had to go to the hospital so don’t do that if you’re not already a seasoned alcoholic and especially not if you’re a teenager

Important now because now is when all the decisions leading into the election start to get made. But yea, nobody should ever join NZFirst.

My references are hip and up to date.

None of these rich mofos are going to vote for a fucking land tax though. *Especially* not a land value tax.
November 19, 2025 at 8:05 PM
I guess that makes sense, but I think you know like the UK Labour Party and it’s more cynical members leading policy nods to that same international far right NZ First is a party who is not traditionally far right and who are on many issues on the left side of the current government.
November 19, 2025 at 6:21 PM
Yea they’ve cynically appropriated that language from the American far right in recent times but they are not a party so easily nailed down and I think what is important is the capacity internationally for cynical politicians to leverage off of internationalised ant-trans propaganda and networks
November 19, 2025 at 6:12 PM
I just want to say because I think it’s important. It’s difficult to pin down NZFirst but I think it is erroneous to call them far right. They have been in left-wing coalitions, they supported the Ardern Government into existence. I would describe them as a cynical opportunist party.
