…the sinking, she & baby Hudson became separated from the rest of the family. Alice and Hudson boarded Lifeboat 11 and survived the sinking. Sadly, Hudson’s parents and his older sister were lost. For more on Alice, Hudson, and other Titanic passengers, you can visit my blog, www.titanic-tales.com

He boarded the Titanic en route to the Michigan Copperbelt. Frederick did not survive the sinking. However, during his visit in Cornwall, his wife, Cecilia, became pregnant. Their son, named Frederick James Banfield in memory of his father, was born in November 1912 and lived to be 89 years old.
