It's cooler outside than in so I'm roaming the neighbourhood with my long lens, leaning on walls, poles and level(ish) objects trying to photograph the moon.

This is my neighbour's balcony. It faces east and gets morning sun only and he choses to grow things on it. Mine faces north and I chose not to have the full summer sun kill plants.

A heritage listed building in The Rocks, Sydney, of the Victorian/Federation Free Classical style. Originally constructed as The Oswald Bond Store in 1892, the building was rebuilt as a wool store in 1903 after extensive fire damage and later converted to office premises in the late 1980s. The building has intricate architecture including sandstone detailing and brickwork facades. On top is a modern atrium, all glass and metal. The deck of the southern entrance to the Sydney Harbour Bridge is in the top left corner.

At least ten pelicans in shallow water, at the shore of what is known as the Pelican Spot in the background. There is sand/dirt with what looks to be broken shells on it, and some grass visible making up the Spot. It is late afternoon so the water level is low, and there are some reflections of the pelicans on the water.

I've walked past this area many, many times and last week I finally stuck my camera in between the bars of the fence.
I'm thinking this is an example of 'sometimes it's better to look and enjoy, not everything needs to be photographed'.
