In the 1950s in hospital as a small preschool child I remember lying on a trolly pre operation in a corridor my nightgown was lifted up they gave me an injection (not sure ) and left me like that
I was so upset because I knew it was wrong
Also I was told not to fuss as children couldn’t feel pain!
