A very interesting watch this New Year's Eve: the funeral for New York's MetroCard.

Spencer suggested you, @debritz.bsky.social to answer my question... quoted below.
@spencerhowson.bsky.social

Have I got this right:

January 12, 2001: the date Peter Beattie swam with sharks in the leadup to 2001 QLD election being called weeks later?

Trying to pinpoint a exact date for a Youtube video, that thinks it's June 2001!

The big question now lies: how does cash strapped Merlin Entertainment respond, let alone Disneyland Paris across the Channel (who will be now pushing like hell for cross-channel services to resume at Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy: axed by Eurostar three years ago).

Have heard, the starters pistol has fired concerning the Universal Great Britain development in Bedford.

Although, I'd be really bringing out the ploughmans lunch when the first sod is turned: one step further than other projects like the London Resort, etc. had tried to achieve.

A interesting idea.

My vision for improving road safety: zero tolerence for any alcohol on a drivers breath between December 20 and January 10 (Christmas/New Year) every year.

See how many end up deciding to leave the car at home to get a jar at the pub at Xmas time just to avoid a fine...

A open suggestion to the people at Crikey: make this piece, free for all, so it can be spread far and wide: perhaps it can drive the message to some crazy people out there that think a digital ID is coming enmasse.

A AI-powered digital ID ain't coming for you... it's coming for your children.
The Prime Minister credited 36 Months for convincing him to ban teens from social media.

This group accused experts who opposed the ban of being 'bought' by big tech. Meanwhile, it was lining up brand deals, eyeing global expansion & developing an AI tool to track students

Let me present a proposition to you.

This is no Gruen pitch.

It's a actual social media ban for politicians and registered political parties in Australia.

Former politicians can keep their accounts as long as they are personal and private.

See how quickly they react.
