Lots of Capcom games here. I guess if we counted retro stuff I have a Kunio collection I got too. I would definitely go for Vanillaware on PC.

Um…. Yeah.

DD2 was so good until it wasn’t. I think it just needed some mods but I only have it on PS5 :/

Here's a partial list of suspected guilty parties. Call them if they're your senators, friends, right now.

blacksky.community/profile/did:...
John Fetterman, Angus King, Maggie Hassan, Dick Durbin, Jon Ossoff, Jeanne Shaheen, Kirsten Gillibrand, Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Warner, Cory Booker, and of course Chuck Schumer. Maybe others not top of mind. Not all responsible will publicly vote for the cave - that's not how this works.

In this hack you can pull a lot of fighting skills and develop your character that way, but half of the skills are just weird. They could be powerful, and they're definitely fun, so if you keep them around... you can get something cool. That's really interesting to me.

You don't see a lot of gameplay hacks for TTRPGs. A lot of time developers create content - even if that content is gameplay.

I actually started this hack for #Knave, but I realized it was too grounded for this. It would hard to differentiate the fun vs. the tactical.

The main mechanisms I was designing for
- Randomness to turns
- Incremental mechanical character growth
- Remove the ability to fully 'minmax'

You can engage with this system pretty much every battle (or even mid combat/trap, etc). Hopefully mechanical character arcs can happen in 1 session...

To me games are about making fun decisions. Comparing one thing with another and seeing how it plays out.

That's why I think drafting roguelikes are so popular.
