Side note: an attempt at artsyness. I like the idea, but not the execution

Album 4: Beatles For Sale. 3.49 out of 5.

All-around solid album but nothing more. Cover-heavy and very American. Ringo was in his wheelhouse with his Carl Perkins cover, but it was the ultimate disrespect to give George his CP cover and only that (that’s why it’s dead-last on the ranking).

Pitchers who obtained their 300th career win after their age-41 season, and where they were then compared to where Justin Verlander is now

New (old) pen and ink holder came in the mail today. Handmade 51 years ago. Came with its own fountain pen

I finally beat the friend who got me (back?) into Chess. Don’t worry, he’s still better than me. (Please feel free to forgive/correct my description of the game in the alt text)

Anyway, the Tik Tok situation made me think about how it seems like the government and corporations are trying to give us insecure attachments. Maybe specifically dismissive/avoidant (or maybe that’s just me?). These are behaviors of abusive parents and partners. And that’s the point.

Album 3: A Hard Day’s Night.
3.36 out of 5.

Probably my first “controversial” take is that I find AHDN good, but nothing special. Plenty of classics, but nothing really sticks out much. Overall improvements in every regard. Very top-heavy, but John just has to be John at the end. Love “If I Fell”

Album 2: With The Beatles.
3.05 out of 5.

The hits were better (including the first 4-star song), but the stinkers were worse than the worst songs of Please Please Me.
Polarizing covers as well.

All My Loving is an all-timer for me.

Ranking Beatles albums in order, and writing lyrics with a fountain pen.

Album 1: Please Please Me.
2.92 out of 5 (rounds up to 3)
Likely their weakest album, but still has a couple of classics.

(Opinions are opinions, and none of this is a big deal. You can share yours without disparaging others)

Is this pen more Astros-coded or Ahsoka Tano-coded? (AKA how many nerdoms can I overlap with at once?) The Diamine Golden Honey ink is admittedly pretty hard to read

Exploring the parts and pieces are one of my favorite things about fountain pens. (A brand new pen not working though sucks)

Either way…

The joys of fountain pens (or am I actually in the next Wicked movie?)

Zoomed in on the nib a bit more and took a clearer picture (but the magnifying glass is still dusty). It’s important that we all celebrate the fact that there is a narwhal on this Fine Writing Instrument

New pen: Nahvalur Horizon (Dusk). F nib that I might ask to be ground down to an EF

Watching the Beatles ‘64 documentary and doing a word association with my fountain pen. I like how I wrote this

It’s not a good sign that my introduction to this app is a bunch of bots following me. But what’s even worse…. How will I know who the real Miranda Lambert that’s following me is???
