just so you all know bc books are a very opaque business... any way you buy/borrow a book is fantastic, but getting hard copies is *significantly* better for the author because that number shows up in an antiquated database called BookScan that publishers prize. ebooks & audio don't.

Arthur Morrison met the smith who once made iron 'witch bottles' for Cunning Murrell. These contained charmed materials to protect a house from #witchcraft. Unfortunately, the last one was flawed, and when it was placed on the fire to activate the spell, it exploded.
