We talk a lot about AI and "who cares about art and stories made by someone who doesn't exist and has nothing to say?" but that's basically what any modern canon is. The individual pieces are human, but the individual assemblage into a BRAND and CANON is the result of a dehumanized business process.

We were right to fear it; I don't think we expected to see it (among other things but in this case specifically our grief) quite so happily (ghoulishly) marketed to us.
