The issue I have with syncretism as a term is that it has a usage in anthropology and religious studies that is quite different than what “diagonalism“ is trying to describe

Hallway chats and dropping into each other's offices can be all very double-edged. These are ideal ways to spread malicious gossip, influence behind the scenes, and throw rocks while hiding the hand, because none of that information is on the record and is always plausibly deniable.

I am a 6-foot man, and even for me, the prospect of going into a hotel room with a group of strange men felt more like the premise of a horror film than a job interview.
