and… i’m slowly making progress.

like i said: vertical & taking steps for more than 30-60 seconds at a time. and i’ve peed more than once today! red letter day, y’all. 🤪

this time around, “DIY” meant dropping my corpse on my parents’ couch, releasing my offspring to “Gigi Camp,” continuing the prescription antiemetics i was already on when i threw up 20 times in as many hours (*lolsob*), & slooooooowly waiting for oral rehydration attempts to work.

chief among those reasons is that, if i’m not well enough to feel 100% confident in my ability to advocate for / protect myself, i’m just not going anywhere near a hospital (at least not while conscious).

i’d rather DIY where i feel safe & don’t have to be on guard.

in fairness, i’d probably be making a faster recovery if i’d taken “first choice” medical advice & gone to a hospital — but there are a lot of reasons that doesn’t work for me.

in related news, i’m (slightly) ambulatory for the first time since sunday evening. i took a seated shower & got to change my clothes.

this was exhausting, & now i need a nap, but wow: sometimes the simplest pleasures are the most intense.

we met my kid’s new OT last night, and i cannot describe my delight at the fact that we were co-ranting about ABA within the first ten minutes. 💗
