Built up a GameGear over the weekend with one of those fancy SYF replacement boards, along with the new GGHD BennVenn kit. Really liking the HDMI port print's fitment: it even has I'm just enough clearance to snake around the wiring for batteries!

The GBA Consolizer was one of my first "difficult" installs many, many years ago. When I went to use it last night, I found it wouldn't stay on for more than a second. When I opened it up and saw how nasty the solder joints were on everything, I just went ahead and did a full reflow!

Finally about to put a project I started around this time year to rest; custom inserts for as many handhelds as I could think of for those cassette case displays! I think everyone's seen Gameboy games in them but you can fit so much more!

I'm loving the #BeybladeX Sword launcher so far, but the handle isn't the best. Working on a simple grip that latches onto the ripcord; it needs a few tweaks but it's coming together!

The boys and I finally got to try out the #BeybladeX motorized stadium; this thing is equal parts fun and terrifying. Bey's flew out of the stadium on three different occasions, it was great.

Friends, hot-air exists for a reason! If you want to be efficient & make short work of surface mount components, you MUST master hot air!
Don't bother with hot/soldering tweezers. That's the worst tool that we have in toolbox!
Have fun!

Make short work of surface rust with an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner and white vinegar!
Finish it off with a rust inhibitor, and you're all set!

Finally have my free .stl's for my custom #beyblade X storage case inserts posted! Included in the description is a detailed guide on the case cutting process (Fully optional, but allows you to store them fully assembled) as well as a direct link to the case I bought off Amazon. Enjoy!

I'm mildly surprised Analogue's still got a few slots for Analogue 3D preorder still up; I guess they've figured out the batch size they should be going for finally. I'm still going to wait for the inevitable 3rd batch with Funtastic colours tho lol

Been working on a storage solution for my #beyblade X beys using a super cheap tool storage box you can get on Amazon for like $20 and some custom 3D printed inserts. I need to tweek the bottom tip storage inserts (undersized a bit) but once I'm happy w/ it, I'll be releasing the .stl's for free!
