This was the first time I had really fixed something with soldering (the rest had been one off practice projects from hobby kits). It really made me feel like I could actually do it.

You know what? If this service keeps a person from irreparably ruining a Wii, it can't be a bad thing.

There's (currently) such an over abundance of Wii systems, this is better than them becoming E-Waste and being destroyed.
