I agree. There is no proof. As you explain, Trump has no logical reason to attack the boats. He claims they are drug smugglers. We know that is false. He just pardoned another drug smuggler. He doesn't care about American dying from drugs. He cares about making money and staying out of jail. .

The message to drug smugglers is pay Trump protection money, and he won't blow up your product.

Why get locked into a trade deal when the US Supreme Court will end up deciding if the US tariffs are illegal or not? The waiting game is unfortunately the right move as the tables could get flipped on everything.
