Updated the ref sheets and lore card!
Race (Clan): Lalafell (Plainsfolk) Gender: Female Age: 41 Epithets: The Finest Pupil’s Ally | Warrior of Light Having been raised in Limsa Lominsa, her young adult life was spent bounding between studying magicks in the halls of the Arcanists' Guild and working as a mercenary aboard merchant vessels. At the age of twenty and two she set off on a short lived life of adventure before she found herself in the Twelveswood. Cocky and overconfident, she had bit off more than she could chew against the hoard of Ixali. Had it not been for a troop of Twin Adders, she would have met her end then and there. Soon after this encounter she joined up with the Twin Adders and quickly rose through their ranks over the next couple of years. As a lieutenant she was called to lead a troop at the Battle of Carteneau and there she bore witness to the Seventh Umbral Calamity first hand. The days following the calamity during a mission to recover wounded from the ruins of Carteneau she received the first sign of Hydaelyn's Blessing; a nightmarish and nigh incomprehensible prophetic vision. So rattled was she by the past week, she stepped down from the Twin Adders and set out to be an adventurer once more. This time she took up the mantle of the onion to reminder her of simpler more nostalgic times. Later she found herself bequeathed the title of Warrior of Light, and much of the weight of the world thrust upon her shoulders. Originally driven by a desire for her name to be known in folklore, but since becoming the Warrior of Light, she has received all that she desired and woefully far more. Now she carries on for those still here, and for those she has lost—primarily the latter. Driven by grief, she seeks to make a departed lover proud. To this day she wears his old monocle, desperate to feel he remains with her in some small way. Ever nostalgic, her favorite food is one her mother made her frequently as a child: stuffed artichoke and a glass of orange juice.

She loves her parents even if they can be a bit overly supportive and smothering.
These days though they tend to call her "our little warrior of light" which kinda really gets under Uaruru's skin. Its hard for her to tell them all the struggles and pain that title has brought her.
Alas.

Near Baelsar's Wall, the flower bed her and Fufucha planted in remembrance of Papalymo is flourishing and well tended. The sounds of the Twelveswood echo over the petals, the air smells sweet.

Various sketches of a Lalafell character, Rivière Renais, depicting their clothing and emotional states in each expansion. In ARR/Heavensward/Stormblood, they wear a floppy beret and woolen coat and appear anxious and reserved. In Shadowbringers they have no hat, wearing flowers in their hair instead, and a fur-lined cloak. Their eyes shine with absorbed Sin Eater light, in a dismal-looking expression. In Endwalker, they have a less floppy beret adorned with a flower and ribbon and a cardigan that flows in the wind - they face the viewer with an impassioned, tearful smile. In Dawntrail they wear the same beret in an adventurous ensemble with a scarf, fingerless gloves and a satchel, and cheer joyously as they raise a fist. My WoL, Rivière, a blue-haired transfem Lalafell, and Krile, as they were while students at Sharlayan's Studium in uniform (although Krile still has her signature hood), and both wearing scarves. They're looking into a mirror together at a little makeover Krile gave Rivi - a flower in their hair, and a cute bow-knot for their scarf. Krile smiles warmly and has a hand on Rivière's shoulder, while Rivi stares wide-eyed at their reflection, mesmerized and blushing. A GPose of my WoL, Rivière Renais, a transfem non-binary Lalafell with short blue hair in a pink beret and blue clothing, being pulled in with an arm around their shoulder by a Lalafell with pink hair and clothing, Mashi. She grins and winks at them, confidently thumbing towards herself. Rivi looks flustered, their face reddening. A GPose of my WoL, Rivière Renais, a transfem non-binary Lalafell with short blue hair, a red beret and a pastel blue cardigan, and Krile passionately kissing on a Sharlayan cliffside under a purple-pink sunrise. Krile, her hood off, has her arms wrapped around Rivi's shoulders and is leaning in. Rivi has one arm around Krile's back and is stroking her cheek with their other hand.
