Reminder that the Kennedy Center’s name is defined by federal law.

Now where are those Epstein files?

Finally!!

I was still working at Best Buy when they quit offering scammy rebates…
And I left BBY >15 years ago.
It's hard for Minnesotans to afford their lives when businesses are trying to deceive them. An ad for "11% OFF EVERYTHING" clearly implies you can buy goods at an 11% discount, not that you can participate in a limited rebate program or get in-store credit on future purchases.

Oh great, the Jira instance I’ve been using for half a decade is adding personalization, aka AI slop.

In this dimension, I’m sad today.

My friends took me to the midnight showing of Ed Wood & said we scored free tix to see Terminal Velocity first.

After seeing this double feature, they admitted that the free movie was actually Ed Wood…
They lied because I would’ve objected to paying for a Charlie Sheen movie.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Hey journalists: once again, it’s “Somali” (not “Somalian”).
I know the executive branch says the latter, but that’s just one of many misnomers they use.

New espresso maker has been acquired and broken in.
Both the machine and its espresso are more impressive than I am.

My long-disdained, decade-old espresso machine is broken and replacement parts are unavailable.

I’m a little sad.

Also undercaffeinated.

Before now, I had never looked up why the state of Somalia fell in 1991.
No wonder this administration is freaked out: history rhymes.
December 5, 2025 at 3:49 PM
The harassment experienced by our Somali neighbors this week is heartbreaking.
Facts 👇
95% of MN Somalis are US citizens. 58% were born in the US. The only reason to target this community with immigration agents is for the sake of racial profiling and harassment - which the US supreme court says is legal now.

Hold up, data centers are just *starting* to use closed systems for all the water they need?!
Also maybe don’t build them in deserts.
www.npr.org/2025/12/01/n...
Data centers are thirsty for water. This Nevada region is prepared, at least for now
Outside Reno, Nev., a massive data center campus is being built to support artificial intelligence. The center sits in the nation's driest state and will need billions of gallons of water to operate.
