Just watched this Dioxus talk www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kl90... and I'm blown away. WASM bundle splitting makes Rust viable for web apps and the hot patching fixes a major pain point. Definitely going to have to check it out

Finally got around to deleting my X account. I deleted my posts and stopped using it when it was bought out. I can't believe I signed up for Twitter in 2008! My account was almost old enough to buy beer 🍻. So many good memories, here's to the next 17 year on Bluesky 🥂

First lamb of 2025 born this afternoon, or course it had to be on the coldest weekend. One more ewe to go, then we get a break until end of February

Today one of our ewes gave birth to Morgan, here he is chilling under a heat lamp. Already working on his tan, you can tell he's gonna be a looker. Sadly his brother didn't make it. But that's life on the farm, you take the good, the bad and everything in between and just focus on the good stuff.

1/3 I couldn't decide on a tech stack for the backend of a side project. It was between Rust and TypeScript/Deno. Rust would be more performant, but TS would have better library support for web stuff.

I ended up building a basic service in both so I could compare.

Rolldown 0.14 is out!

Rolldown's core bundling capabilities are largely complete. We are now focusing on robustness (Rollup and esbuild test alignment) and polishing DX (error messages, docs) before planned 1.0 beta by EOY.
