Very much had a Clarke & Dawes "The front fell off" feel to the Q&A interview.

"It's always worked before". How do you know that, Mr Mitchell?

The ideal amount to win is the amount where others say "good on you, you deserve it" rather than "wow, they don't need all of that, they should give some to me".

If you picked the 6 longest-odd horses at the TAB and rolled over winnings, you would probably win more on a $1 bet if it came in, and have a better chance of winning.

On the whole I think the same as you - they often fund projects for the middle class and rich at the expense of taking money out of poorer communities.

The problem is that the people "building or creating" things don't want to properly pay their employees for helping them do it!

It's not a tax on people who are bad at maths: it's a tax on people's hope.

Last night 18 people won first division (1 in 380k per 10 line ticket) with 3 winning Powerball, which just goes to show what an absolute shedload of tickets were sold.
November 15, 2025 at 7:03 PM
haha, yep.
November 15, 2025 at 7:02 PM
yeah the odds are astronomical. Per line, chance of winning Powerball is 1 in 38,383,800 - slightly less than 1 in 4 million for a 10 line ticket.

Yeah I think they will be there but I do think Labour will win back a couple of seats from them.

He would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for us pesky kids!

Our last dog (Heading dog/Huntaway cross) learnt that walk, hikoi, pasear, picking up the lead, putting on my headphones, opening the front door at a particular time of day...all meant we were going for a walk.

Statistics are so misleading Lamia: if you have one foot in a bucket of boiling water and one foot in a bucket of ice, on average you feel just fine!

"Growing the pie" really hides the fact inequality is increasing.

Just gonna keep saying it: There is no point growing the pie if the wealthy keep eating all of it.

This one is 4 years old and a cuddle bunny. Needs re-homing as the current owner is unwell, and also the dog can't really cope with the attentions of the human 4 year old in the household. Picking it up on the 22nd of November (ROAD TRIP!)
