With Tahlequah in the news again for a happy reason, I thought I’d re-share my essay about her from a few years back. See comment for her story. www.themanifeststation.net/2021/01/19/t...

Holding the calf on her forehead meant Tahlequah had to swim for long periods above water, then dip below, drop the calf, take a breath and find her again.

Kevin would be alive today if he’d had the Gardasil vaccine as a pre-teen. Both our kids are vaccinated-our son was off-label as it wasn’t yet approved for boys and we knew it was effective. Vaccines work. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
A little louder for the folks in the back:

The development of vaccines is likely the greatest achievement of mankind.

Watching No Dress Rehearsal, the Tragically Hip doc. My late husband Kevin, loved the Hip. We saw them several times and adopted them as our own because of Detroit’s proximity to Canada. Gord’s story is mythical. And the music was so good, start to finish. 🍁 @tragicallyhip.bsky.social

Hey BlueSky friends, the skies are blue over the Miami Book Fair this weekend. I’ll be there Sunday at noon, Miami Dade College, Bldg 8, Room 8202. I’ll be joined by Peggy Sue Honeyman Scott (widow of James Honeyman Scott of the Pretenders). Moderated by Holly Gleason. Hope to see you!

Maybe worth passing it on to others so we can all start getting the full benefit of the 🦋.
Here’s some cool stuff you can do with Bluesky
