Me too! I cried so hard at the end of the mom’s section.

I had a very similar experience. It took me a couple months of on and off reading to finish, and I’m not generally a slow reader. (And I read a lot of LitFic so it wasn’t that.)

I’m viewing that part as a bit of a TBD for the moment, as past comments were not great but there is always room for a change of opinion. Comments re: migrants, the poor, guns etc. are all pretty favorable.

Also still more progressive than the White House even so!

I have not read this one but I have felt like the last handful of romance novels I’ve read were all about 75 pages too long. Wonder what’s going on.

Yeah I’ve noticed this too and it’s frustrating because this is the feed I spend the most time on… or that I want to spend the most time on but am getting discouraged by this practice.
