Currently so doompilled that I’m listening to Negazione in my open office cubicle without headphones. The social contract is dead.

Every day Chad and I see something on an old episode of Mr. Show that seems perfectly in tune with the day’s news… at first I was like, “These guys are so prescient,” and now I’m like… maybe sexual violence and white supremacy are the only two constants in contemporary US life…

I don’t know how much longer we can be expected to live alongside the lie that this is not exactly what it looks like: a violent siege, meant to destroy people. The lie makes it even more destructive.

At 16, StoneColdBikini, Bitch Mag, & the Pander Zine Distro message board was my holy trinity. Today, StoneColdBikini is the only one of these things still standing. Endless thanks to Christine for putting me onto music that changed my life as a teenager. SCB made my world feel bigger 🥲
Check out my latest “Skrtic’s Pic” on Stone Cold Bikini and listen to this morning’s show on WRUW. Sitting in on one of my favorite radio shows with Christine Hahn & Ed Zeitz was unforgettable.https://clevelandmagazine.com/articles/skrtics-pics-campy-russell-thao-nguyen-mama-santas/ wruw.org

The woke left’s strongest soldiers in the war on Christmas (our cats, Ralph and Wolfman) have now knocked the Christmas tree over like a dozen times… you win, libs… Christmas is over

I told some friends that I would pick up a bottle of wine to have with takeout tonight and am now acting like a 10 minute walk to the store is roughly equivalent to being drafted. “My luck has run out, my number has come up, I’m as good as dead!!!” - me, bemoaning the state of my local sidewalks.

Dec 24th - Fran Kubelik confronted the married man whom she'd been having an affair with in Bud's apartment. He told her he loved her, despite affairs with other women. He then returned to his family, leaving Fran alone in the apartment.

Lindsey’s Moog Foundation posting is how my dad spent $100 and ended up with a vintage minimoog signed by Todd Rundgren. What weird little noise machines will her Moog Foundation posting bring into YOUR life?
PROFESSIONAL POST: Are you buying gifts for a musician this holiday season? Did you tell yourself in January "this year I'll start playing music" but now it's 12/12 and you haven't started? THERE IS TIME FOR BOTH, with the @bobmoogfoundation.bsky.social reverb shop! reverb.com/shop/the-off...

Started tallying up our 2025 listening this morning and through the end of November we listened to 723 LPs… will we make it to 800 by year end?
In 2024 I tracked every record that @bicyclebicycle.bsky.social listened to together. We listened to music most days of the year & clocked nearly 700 albums. It’s fascinating to me how different your listening habits are when you rely on analog media and not a streaming service.

My commitment to not training AI is so powerful that I held the line and refused to click “I like this image” when my automated Windows log in background featured a cute pika tenderly holding a sprig of wildflowers in his mouth

Made such direct, prolonged eye contact with the driver blocking the crosswalk while waiting to turn right on red that she rolled down her window & said, “Sorry ma’am, happy Thanksgiving,” in the nastiest way. Sorry but I will never feel bad for mean mugging a driver 🤗 Public shame is all we have 🤗🤗
