I want them too smart and a little too happy to go fast.
I have an appy and a connemara/tb and they both start going batshit if they don't get to both live outside and do at least one 5mi+ trail or eventing show per month. They both can get out of almost every enclosure I've put them in.

You joke, but my boy Ketchup does enjoy criming. He will open Tupperware to get the food inside, and will happily limbo thru fences if the grass is greener. He knows those are crimes, and will go back through the fence if he sees me because it's apparently only a crime if he's out when I catch him.

One of our cats (Pinto Bean, tux) will bring my partner a toy when he wants something - to go out on the balcony, pats on the bed, a chair to be moved so he can see out the window - and also when he wants said partner to turn off the rain. He is very said when the rain keeps going.
