I appreciate that the article doesn't attempt to sugar coat the ableism & discrimination Alice Wong encountered growing up in Indiana.Having just re-read Year of the Tiger, I also think it's amazing that she decided to go to San Francisco knowing that was the place where disability activism emerged.
