After the zoo we went to jazz brunch. Oh my god. If you are ever in St. Louis, I can't recommend enough that you go to Evangeline's for jazz brunch.
Two meals on a black marble restaurant table. One is bananas foster French toast (cream cheese stuffed baguette with sliced bananas, pecans, and caramel "Foster sauce") with a peach mimosa, and the other is biscuits in andouille gravy with an egg and a cup of coffee. Another pic of the mimosa and a water goblet, but angled so you can see that we're facing a jazz band just a little ways away. There's a trumpet, a singer, a bass, and a guitar.

We went to the zoo yesterday and saw, among other animals, the baby cheetahs that just recently came out on display, a baby elephant having his first birthday, and a bunch of penguins, and rode the carousel 🥰

Years ago on twitter I made a joke about how these guys reminded me of an enormous blood clot that had made the news when someone coughed it up and now every time I see them I think of the blood clot

Lately I have been doing puzzles
A completed jigsaw puzzle of an illustrated scene of kittens in a kitchen making a mess and getting into mischief with baking supplies and ingredients. A completed jigsaw puzzle of a graphic art piece in a sort of cubism style with bright colors showing buildings and cars on a street in the foreground and mountains and sunshine in the background. I saw this on tumblr. It's kind of bothering me because it's obviously supposed to look like it was taken in the 90s but it equally obviously wasn't. Trying to figure out everything that's uncanny about it.

Hey guys I went to the Albuquerque balloon fiesta this weekend
Three hot air balloons inflated on the ground glowing from the inside against the night sky.
