Agreed! As a fellow Class of 1986 member, we still chant "86, 86, 80, 80, 86" at reunions. I thought that was the extent of things though 🤷‍♀️

I've been fairly emo lately (wonder why???) so my listening may reflect that a bit.
Flumpool have a new album out (Shape the Water) and I can't stop listening. David Sylvian's 1987 Secrets of the Beehive. Gravity Stairs (2024) by Crowded House.

She is a good helper 😆 Coincidentally, my kitchen monitor is also an ACD. His nickname is "Quality Control"

The mental cost is high, unfortunately. Not originally from Oklahoma, but currently working here and it is truly like living in a nightmare.

So glad you're here! *Love* the Front Desk series even though I'm old 🤭 When I came to the States as a young Asian American in the 1970s, I didn't see myself reflected in stories. Thank you!

Sending healing and love your way. Both the pain and the hospital are miserable. May you mend quickly.

👏🏼👏🏼 Educators like that chair are the ones who give their students faith in their own ability to learn and inspire their colleagues to grow.

Thankful you said this! Every semester I must explain to my undergrads that some faculty are incredible content experts but that doesn't mean they've taken a single class on how to actually teach. (I also have to remind myself of this when in committees w/faculty & my M.Ed = my voice isn't valued 😅)
