It’s easy to just scroll past the dozens of daily videos of people being kidnapped. But you can’t scroll past someone weeping in your kitchen and explaining why they feel absolutely powerless to do anything but wear a whistle and document everything with their phone

I live here and no one is sleeping well, the slightest noise outside instantly triggers the neighborhood - lights all come on a 2:30 a.m. even if it's a just a hospital helicopter or the CTA Brown line train hitting some ballast.

People who own houses here have money and influence, and they vote when it's in their best interest. They may have been slightly bothered by what's been happening in other sections of Chicago, but now it's at their front door, and they're taking their Help away.

Subway performers make anyone who might not like their type of music a captive audience. It's like forcing a person to eat a food they hate. And no, the unwilling listener shouldn't be forced to purchase and wear headphones.
