Content writer & independent educator. Charcuterie class teacher. I do these things as much as I can: travel, eat French cheese, take care of dogs, walk in the woods.
I'm teaching an online Feminism and Pop Culture class for adults that starts on Sept. 21! Happy to share the details with anyone who wants them. I usually teach a similar class for kids on Outschool but adults have been interested too...so I figured out how to make it work!

A wandering dog killed 2 of my old hens on Sunday. By the next day, all of the feathers from the scene were gone. Birds took them for their nests.

I am sad about my old hens, as I loved them, but there is something comforting about their feathers lining the wild birds' nests throughout the woods.

I teach spiritual writing courses, online and in person. I've created this self-guided course for those of us struggling under the current administration. I've priced it as "pay what you can" so hopefully everyone can access it. Friends, I hope this is helpful for you. ♥️🏳️‍🌈

Before we had words like "deconstruction" and "exvangelical," it took a lot more time to describe what we were talking about. 😆😆😆"Narratives of leaving fundamentalist faith traditions."

January 2025: Am I sad because I'm watching Station Eleven again or because of the fires in CA or because I'm trying to download all my TikToks or because my foster puppy who got adopted might be coming back to me because it's not working out at his new home?

I teach charcuterie classes! This week I taught a workshop as a holiday luncheon for a local healthcare organization. All of the boards were great--here are 4! I just started including pomegranate seeds in my workshop ingredients and I think they add a lot to these boards.

Also, I'm brand new to Bluesky. Can someone help me find my way into a community of plus size/fat hikers who aren't necessarily hiking for weight loss? (That is not why I hike.) Thank you!

I walk in the tiny woods by my house daily, but I feel like where I live makes it hard to really HIKE. I'm trying to make hiking a habit this year, but what counts? Especially when I can't spend hours in the car every week to go hiking? I've decided-for me, any intentional walk in nature is a hike.

I've been fostering this puppy since he was 6 wks old. He's now 3 months & is the first foster puppy I've ever imagined keeping. (I can't keep him! My little dogs will never tolerate a big dog in the house.) But I find myself really invested in finding the perfect home for him. I really ♥️ him.
