I vividly remember playing and finishing that on the C64.

If they did that, then there would be concrete proof that all the consultants they wasted money on were full of crap, and that might make them look worse.

So, if I show it a picture of an employee, will it give me the employee discount?

I dunno, it might be fun to haunt him.

I hate the ones that do whole dollar amounts rather than a percentage. I'm buying a $3 espresso. While I appreciate how quick you got it to me, I'm not giving you a $2 tip over it. Probably one of the few scenarios where I prefer to use cash..

I'm glad they did. I'll take "Jawbox" and "Team Dresch" over "The Lemonheads" any day.

It would be interesting to see if someone could hack them to accept data from a PX ULTRA, and then leverage the software to do biometric matching on masked agents. That would bring the heat down on Facebook REAAAAL quick.

I guess his 'I'm sober and drug free ... except for all the LSD, and the weed' proclamation neglected to mention his new unsolicited masturbation vid hobby when trying to rehab his public image to talent buyers. Can't wait for someone to bundle him into a tour with Ryan Adams and Mark Kozelek.

Every time a publisher does this, I just look at it and go, yeah, you can charge that, but I'm not going to pay it. Let it rot on the shelf until it gets marked down for clearance -- or sit in the digital storefront until someone does a flash sale.

That and 'Thank Goodness You're Here!' are permanent residents of my Steam Deck.

February 11, 2026 - David Ramirez @ The Starlet Room
This was my introduction to David's music. Great performer, memorable and timely songs. I didn't expect the audience to drink quite as heavily as they did, but maybe that is just something baked into the existing fanbase.

February 11, 2026 - Sharon Silva @ The Starlet Room
I was introduced to Sharon's music by Sarah Beth Tomberlin, during a spontaneous pandemic livestream where they handed around a guitar and had fun trying to cover contemporary songs from memory. Sad it took me this many years to catch her live.

February 01, 2026 - Analog Dog @ The Starlet Room
I respect that they went big, with lots of costumes and bombast. Just wish that was what I had been in the mood for.

February 01, 2026 - Bad Barnacles @ The Starlet Room
I couldn't remember if I had seen this band before until they brought out the life preserver ring stage prop. I may not have remembered the music, but I did remember that.

February 01, 2026 - Miamaz @ The Starlet Room
Not a whole lot of differences between this set and the last one I saw them turn in, but I'm fine with that.

January 22, 2026 - Rituals of Mine @ Crocker Art Museum
The recent shift from pre-production to live production in this LabRats backed incarnation of the band has evolved Terra's performance in all the best ways.

January 22, 2026 - Rosemother @ Crocker Art Museum
Been a bit since I've gotten to catch these folks live, glad to see they are still going strong.

January 16, 2026 - Figure Eight @ Red Museum
Been a fan of this act since I first caught them in SF. Abby was a local who didn't immediately appear to have aspirations to perform, but started taking big swings after moving to the bay area. Lots of talent and ambition. I predict great things.

January 16, 2026 - Slake @ Red Museum
I was also surprised to see how far Mary's project had come along. No longer a solo act, they showed up with a full band and a full length LP. That was an immediate purchase.

January 16, 2026 - Slugfeast @ Red Museum
Didn't do any research on this act going in, so it was a nice surprise to discover that this was Claire's new project. It has a much heaver sound than the earlier work. I look forward to hearing more.

I look forward to it producing something that takes one season of exceptional programming, and crams it into a blender with five seasons of filler and three seasons of garbage.

I'd skipped Numan's later catalog, so it was quite the revelation when I caught him live. He had basically taken all the stuff that contemporary artists who had been influenced by him had done, explored it, digested it, then went 'that's nice, now hold my beer...'
February 12, 2026 at 6:34 PM
At least you are acknowledging that up front.
