"It is one of the wounds of the West: This confusion between care and control as though they're the same thing.

So, I'm excited about being a part of REP because I'm excited about practicing what it is to care - again.

Deeper,
Better,
Including with boundaries." 💚

"We know what wrong is -- big time know what wrong is -- but right? Right emerges...

How are we working to shift the generational betrayal?

...The fact that there are way too many moments where help actually ends up getting met by just more control?"

- Liberation (n.) = The State of Making Freedom.

“Liberation is not about an outcome.
It’s not about a win.
It’s not about an end goal.
It’s about being in the state of making.” ✨

“Many people on SNAP are disabled, many others are working and just not being paid a living wage and need SNAP to supplement their income," Jordan from Utah said. "I just wish more people right of center understood the reality of life for people that have to rely on this program to survive.”
The voices of SNAP
Recipients have become political pawns. They explained, in their own words, what Trump withholding funds has been like.

Update: "The Resilient Advocate" workshop is ready! I've built it as a practical guide to preventing burnout and it's designed for those who carry the weight of community work.

I'm incredibly grateful to have booked the first session with a local organization for December 3rd. ✨

So here I am, 17 pounds out from that 100 lbs again, and about 40 lbs from my goal.

This time, it doesn't feel like a finish line. It feels like laying down a heavy weight I've been carrying my whole life.

It feels like I'm finally building a life I won't need to escape from. 💚

This second journey didn't start with a bang, but with a quiet, terrified decision to live.

It has been a slow, deliberate act of building a new environment for myself.

One where healing is the priority, not shrinking.

One where I add good things, rather than obsess over and punish the old.

But life had other plans. It brought me to my knees with homelessness and then, the unthinkable: my sister's death by suicide.

The weight returned, not as a failure, but as a layer of protection. A way to physically hold the grief that my heart couldn't contain. By 2022, it had become a cage.
