replacing "touch grass" with "clean a toilet" in my life

i loved Rama! one of my favorite early builds was to get hangover on the special, and just brainlessly spam my way through tartarus. pretty sure this got me my first hades clear

there's also this clean divide between boons that offer additional flat damage, and boons that offer percentage bonuses. so if you're using the big powerful axe, you start looking for Aphrodite or Demeter, and if you're using the fast-hitting spear, you look for Zeus or Poseidon. you gotta play it

this was me and the Hera bow. once i finally "got" it, it became my favorite weapon, immensely satisfying. Hades 2 has this too. the knives are especially good because the Daedalus Hammer will totally change how you use it, while still being fun every time

also it's about twice the size of Hades 1, just at a guess, but the runs feel so punchy and satisfying that you don't feel stretched thin. very good game.

the weapons all feel GREAT. i switch up every run, and i'm happy with every single one. they all support a different kind of attack (magic, charge attacks, specials, etc) and do a great job of encouraging you to experiment.

hades 1 was the same, it was fun as hell but didn't "click" until i started engaging with some of the deeper systems. half my playtime in the first game i just never used magic at all, never used beowulf shield or hera bow. dark days

one time she found out that i used a whole steak to make a sandwich (it was gonna go bad!) and she thought it was hilarious. now she sends over loaves of bread "for Brian's sandwiches"

evaporated and condensed are pretty similar. i think if you reduced the milk to make it thicker and then added the splenda to taste, it would work.
