Last week I went to @marcusbrown.bsky.social #SpeakerySummit in Bavaria and all I took away were these 17ish reflections, a whole load of love, some fabulous new connections and a desire to go back, immediately.

Fascinating perspective @rachelanne.bsky.social on approaching accessibility from a human rights approach as we have a right to information we can understand #AccessGiven25

Not all LLMs are equal. They can provide a useful starting point, but can confidently send you down rabbit holes to fix the wrong things. Accuracy decreases with complexity, and accessibility is complex. Agents can compound the the problem. 95% accuracy per step is 36% after 20 steps #AccessGiven25

Enjoying listening to @craigabbott.co.uk results from experimenting with AI to provide alt text, check against accessibility criteria and readability issues.

Inconsistent responses, inaccurate descriptions and incomplete results. In some cases downright misleading. #AccessGiven25

£274bn is the spending power of disabled people in the UK.

The difference between accommodations for disabled people and non disabled people is ableism.

You might only have one at a time, but are your old ones lurking in the background? I've currently got 22 just sitting there and I closed a bunch in the background the other day

Despite my suspicions that @paulclarke.com is the connecting tissue across the multiverse, it actually appears to be thanks to @sharonodea.com response on this post on LinkedIn last week

Just searched my own Google images in case I *did* snap something and found this from a few years ago - if anyone's got a real picture of how this escalates (I really don't think it needs to be AI) please do share
