I got dual citizenship along with my father (a WWII refugee) in 2017. I get texts regularly from friends exploring how to do it, especially this year. I don't think many Americans understood the importance of a backup plan until now. The exception is my Jewish friends. They've always understood.

Yes! Find a protest, any cause that you believe in, and go. Took my 81 year old, WWII Latvian refugee father to his first ever protest today in support of Ukraine. He cried most of the rally. It was food for my soul.
