A man & a dog. Come for pictures of Wilbur 🐶, stay for #Pittsburgh Sports, #mufc musings and general randomness. Ex-weatherdude. Completely preposterous, but absolutely human.

Native of Manchester, now in the Democratic People's Republic of Bromsgrove.
Stefan Bellmont looks like he could capably play an ogre of some kind in a movie set in medieval times.

Great darts player too! #darts

Perfection.

*Swiss, not Belgian.

And he's two sets up already and looking great. A real possible dark horse in all of this after the year he had on tour #darts #pdc
Barney against Belmont could be a thriller, the big Belgian might be favoured here. #darts

Haven’t talked #darts for a few days as everything has been chalk until the last game last night, but Joe Comito’s win over Springer was absolutely wonderful. Price looked good too.

Wade goes tonight, shouldn’t have any problems.

Well done, Pittsburgh
Mt. Washington. Norton Street. Two neighbors were calling in that it appears a couple people, possibly police, were attempting to fight someone. One appears to be injured. First local PD on scene said that two ICE agents were pepper sprayed.

As someone who got hired yesterday after a 3 month search, I can confirm pretty much every word of this. The use of AI needs regulating (or banning) and the overwhelming majority of recruiters need to learn simple good manners when it comes to their interactions with candidates.

I've always been an "I know a guy" guy 🙂 - calling in favours, doing things for people, paying it forward, mutually beneficial odd job exchanges, connecting with someone over the most random shit is such a delight, especially when it's the only thing you are useful to each other for 🙂

my father-in-law is a “I know a guy” Guy. sadly all the old Guys are aging out of the Guy Economy. Guys are fundamentally incompatible with Hustle Culture because it’s not about “winning” a deal, it’s about collecting favors and goodwill in a mutually-beneficial cycle. protect your local Guy Economy

(And these same denim-clad rules should apply to all Olympic heavyweight weightlifters and wrestlers from former Eastern European communist bloc countries, too)

This is all true. And the biggest danger Vance poses is that he is a walking skinsuit for the tech bros. Peter Thiel created his career. Elon Musk is one of his biggest boosters. If Vance is sitting in the Oval, the technofascists will wield an amount of power that will dwarf anything we've seen.
When Trump dies-- could be at any point, who knows -- we get Vance.

They'll blame a lot of stuff on Trump AND try to fast-track an even uglier Christofascism.

We must be preparing for this now & organizing accordingly.
Grassroots activism, coalitions. Dissent. Sand in gears. GOTV.

Unbelievable. This would be a terrible blow to American science, writ large. It would decimate not only climate research, but also the kind of weather, wildfire, and disaster research that has underpinned half a century of progress in prediction, early warning, and increased resilience.
Exclusive: The Trump administration is moving to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Colorado, according to a senior White House official, taking aim at one of the world's leading climate research labs.

Looking back at 2025 (through mid-December): a snapshot of the climate fingerprint on the UK’s unusual, at times excessive, heat.

The Climate Shift Index signal ramps up in spring, then flickers on and off in waves into early September. Notice how it shows up again throughout November.

We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

Bananas game, such a mess at times, they were wide open at the back all second half. They need some experienced centre backs back and fast. Great attacking threat, but they are going to miss Amad and Mbuemo in a major way now. Interesting to see how he lines up against Villa at the weekend. #MUFC
I know that a 2-1 lead for United is always precarious these days, but holy shit this is bad. #MUFC
