aside from the meat of the essay, which is as we say “great fucking food” btw! A thing I appreciate so much abt Miche’s voice & words, is the way she articulates how/why we do what we do as astrologers; shit just works! it’s not an easy role but we ball anyway for the love of the game. ball is life!

Whenever a prediction comes true, or an astrological technique works in real life, 1 akin them to little miracles. Not because I am divine, and I've made these miracles happen. It's rather that I am a vessel. I can count, interpret, test, and apply. With enough studying, and devotion, anyone could do this. These miracles can, and are consistent. But it's also not a magic trick. Divination is an interaction. A conversation. Between you and the client, you and the cosmos, you and God, you and yourself. Not every attempt at astrology is rewarded or gifted with a little miracle. But when it works, it works.” But, you do it anyway for the unwavering love, commitment, and deep curiosity for The Wisdom. I always tell people-nobody chooses this! Nobody wakes up one day, and wants to become an astrologer. The label itself, "astrologer," opens up the possibility for ridicule, for bullying, of which I have experienced before. But none of that matters when I sit down with someone to talk about their lives, their struggles, their successes. When I'm able to break through with someone, help them see their lives reflected in the cosmos, in the divine-when we work together towards katharsis, I feel I have done my duty. I can physically see, and feel people's worries start to settle, I can see them becoming more compassionate with themselves, more understanding of others, less resistant to the timing of their lives. It is what I mentioned when I said astrology is full of little miracles. I study astrology because I see the beauty of eternity imbued in it. It is the act of my soul remembering, even if it makes my wings ache.
