Oh I'm incredibly excited for Medieval 3, tho it's going to be a long wait still since it's in pre-production.

But the next upcoming TW is gonna be announced at the Game Awards, and that's going to be the fantasy title (so 40k or SW... or a surprise!).

So there's still hope for 40k!

It's either 40k Total War or Star Wars Total War (based on prior reporting), but odds are very strong it will be 40k given the strong relationship with GW and the success of Warhammer TW.

Plus 40K DLCs would be new levels of money printing for CA.

Yes, but I also think they may qualify as a Final Fantasy too.

I think fundamentally they just don't see women as people, women are just prizes for them - and they act confused and aggrieved when they're not awarded a prize they feel they're owed.

This is also why they're so obsessed with flocking to "AI girlfriends".

I think Aurelius should be introduced to some Year 0 style mandatory traditional farm work for a couple of decades.

Yes, would highly recommend it. It runs like a dream now, barely encountered any bugs, and the world and story are captivating. Plus, Phantom Liberty is a masterpiece imo.

Was very pleased that as a TV series, The Man in the High Castle escaped this fate and was not renamed ReichWorld.

I had to pause for a moment and ask "which time?" before it clicked that it would be the time with the padawans.

My two cents but both Control and Cyberpunk 2077 (i finally played it this year) are both brilliant.

Same thing happened to me, Cyberpunk 2077 took over 2025.

This is also why I view TROS as the most "mythic" episode. It doesn't make sense literally or as history, but rather as a late addition to the fables that recycles some key motifs (and principal villain!). It's painting apocalyptic stakes and restoration over a poorly documented anarchic period.

For me this implies a framing of "this is a mythic history". I like the idea that all star wars is Homeric, telling grand moral fables about a remote "history" that has threads of that history as backdrop for a moral/spiritual tale, as opposed to obsessive canonical literalism.

Already trying to schedule my 4+ viewings. Which is no easy feat with little ones to manage!

This is a wonderful piece, thank you! Poor Anton...

Not a party RPG since it's a role-playing strategy game, but Suzerain sort of has that dynamic. If you try to please every character and faction you will fail miserably. You will do better for being consistent to your stated values, and then pick carefully where you compromise to achieve goals.

Warrior, but also very much a trouble maker as Purple Rook.
